Young Dem Jason Everitt is kicking off his campaign for the Escondido City Council this weekend. Jason is joining a line of high quality young dems running for office during the 2010 cycle. First it was both Patrick Finucane and David Alvarez for their respective City of SD City Council seats and now Jason has thrown his hat in.
Everitt has been making the rounds in the community and you can catch him on Twitter and FB. He appears to be taking his time talking to common voters instead of trying to be a splashy candidate to compensate for his age.
His campaign sent out a press release touting his campaign kick off this weekend. I was impressed by his campaign logo. Very bold. Check it out on top of his press release. I think this is a sign of good things to come out of his BOLD campaign as a young leader ready to contribute to improving our neighborhoods and communities throughout San Diego county. I will be covering more of his campaign and doing some follow ups on the Alvarez and Finucane campaigns because these guys are the future of our party. Hopefully we will see some more young candidates emerge to carry the torch for our party in the 2010 election cycle.
